Work Package 8:
Project Management

Aims and
objectives:
NATURALHY is a
complex and ambitious project with 39 partners.
The difficulty of managing such a large and
diverse group is clearly recognised and it is
acknowledged that well thought-out management
activities are required in order to ensure the
successful delivery of the project.
The principal issues
for management activities are:

Fostering and
maintaining good communications and
relationships amongst all partners
-
Co-ordination
and integration of partners activities to
ensure synergies
-
Managing the
complex financial and business aspects of
the project
-
Organising IPR
and knowledge management
Work Package 8 “Project Management”, has
been focussed, during the first half of the
fourth year, on:
-
the preparation
and submission to the Commission of the
third Annual Report;
-
continued
operation of the Project Executive Committee
for managing the overall project in
accordance with the contract with the
European Commission and the Consortium
Agreement;
-
enhancing
integration of the Work Packages by
exploring, developing and formalizing the
linkages and dependence between them;
-
continued
functioning of the Strategic Advisory
Committee, involving organizing the fourth
SAC meeting which took place on 12 October
2007, and;
-
implementation
and execution of NATURALHY project
co-ordination tasks.
The Project
Executive Committee met formally on three
occasions starting in the first half of the
fourth year of the project and, although the
agenda of each meeting included technical points
and technical items were discussed, in the
coming period more meetings will be dedicated to
technical subjects.

the 4th Full
Consortium Meeting, Stratford upon Avon, 28
& 29 June, 2007;

the 3rd Annual
Review Meeting, Brussels, 4 & 5 September,
2007;
The contractors
involved in this Work Package were Gasunie (Work
Package Leader), EXERGIA, GDF, GERG, ISQ,
Loughborough University, University of Oxford,
DBI-GUT.
